Malkajgiri police apprehended four members of an inter-state gang on June 8 for cheating a passport applicant by collecting money while promising fast passport services. The accused were arrested under the supervision of the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate’s Special Operations Team.

The fraud victims approached the gang seeking assistance to obtain passport services quickly. The gang members collected money from the applicant, claiming they could expedite the passport processing through unofficial channels. However, the accused failed to deliver the promised services and denied returning the collected money.

Investigation And Arrest Details

The Special Operations Team conducted a thorough investigation following the victim’s complaint. Police traced the location of the accused and launched a coordinated operation to apprehend them. The four suspects were arrested in separate locations across Hyderabad on June 8.

During the investigation, police recovered documents related to the fraud and amounts collected from the victim.
