Hyderabad: Makers of the hit Telugu action franchise Dhurandhar have announced that the third installment will hit cinemas on June 18, 2026, building excitement among fans across South India.
The film, starring action hero Vishal Krishna, continues the story of a fearless cop battling crime syndicates. Directed by debutant Sreekanth Vissa, Dhurandhar 3 promises bigger stunts, high-octane chases, and a gripping plot twist. Production wrapped principal shooting last month in Hyderabad and Rajasthan.
This comes after Dhurandhar 2 raked in over ₹150 crore worldwide in 2024, cementing the series as a box-office powerhouse. The first film launched Vishal into stardom with its raw action and mass appeal. Trade analysts predict the sequel could cross ₹250 crore, riding on the franchise’s loyal fanbase.
Producer Dil Raju of Sri Venkateswara Creations shared, “June 18 is locked after consultations with theaters. Vishal has pushed limits with real stunts—no wires, pure adrenaline.” Vishal added, “This one’s personal—the villain hits close to home. Fans will love the upgrades.”
The cast includes returning faces like Nivetha Thomas as the lead actress and new villain Raj Arjun, known for intense roles. Music by Devi Sri Prasad features three mass songs already teased online, sparking viral trends.
Filmmakers eyed summer slots but settled on mid-June to avoid clashes with big Hindi releases. Shooting faced minor delays due to rains but stayed on track. A grand teaser drops on April 14 for Sankranti buzz.
Fans are thrilled. “Dhurandhar is pure entertainment—can’t wait for part 3!” posted Hyderabad student Ravi Kumar on social media. Trade expert Ramesh Ramana said, “Summer timing and Vishal’s pull make it a safe bet for ₹200 crore plus.”
Post-production is in full swing, with Hollywood-level VFX for blast sequences. The pan-India release covers Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam versions.
