State youth get roadmap for government recruitments across 25 departments in 2026
Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development (HRD) and IT Minister Nara Lokesh has released the AP Job Calendar 2026, outlining 10,060 government job vacancies across 25 departments in the state. Unveiled on the occasion of Ugadi in March 2026, the calendar is being presented as a structured roadmap for job notifications, dates, and department‑wise vacancies for the year.
The calendar covers four main recruitment notifications scheduled between May and October 2026, including Group‑I and Group‑II posts as well as school and intermediate education positions. Among the notifications, the largest single tranche is 3,004 vacancies in School and Intermediate Education, with the notification set for October 15, 2026. Additional posts in other departments, including 506 vacancies, will be notified on September 15, 2026.
Lokesh said the job calendar is a fulfillment of a promise made during his Yuva Galam padayatra, framing it as an “Ugadi gift” to the youth of Andhra Pradesh. He added that the release of an annual job calendar on Ugadi will now become a regular practice, and that exams will be conducted on the announced schedule with syllabi issued well in advance. Job seekers are being advised to complete one‑time registration on the Naipunyam portal (naipunyam.ap.gov.in) to track notifications and alerts.
Past discussions around the “mega job calendar” had already raised expectations among unemployed youth that the government would streamline recruitment timelines and reduce uncertainty. With the 2026 calendar now live, officials say the document aims to provide clarity on upcoming vacancies, application windows, and departmental requirements, even though detailed eligibility criteria for each post will be specified only in the respective notifications.
