Hyderabad, April 8: Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has sent fans into a frenzy with the explosive first look of his upcoming pan-India film Raaka, revealing a fierce, beast-like character that promises his most intense role yet.
The motion poster, dropped on his birthday, shows Allu Arjun with long, matted hair, tribal markings, and piercing eyes, growling ferociously against a blood-red background. Thunderous drumbeats and the tagline “The Beast Awakens” accompany the 30-second teaser, hinting at a high-octane action thriller.
Directed by the acclaimed Krishna Garapati and producer D.S. Rao of 24 Frames Factory, Raaka marks Allu Arjun’s first collaboration with the duo behind Karnan. The project, announced last Diwali, boasts a massive ₹300 crore budget and cutting-edge VFX from international studios.
“This character demanded complete transformation—physically and emotionally,” said a source close to production. Allu Arjun reportedly shed 15 kilos and trained in MMA for six months to embody the raw, untamed ‘Raaka’.
Filming began secretly in Araku Valley’s dense forests, with key schedules planned in New Zealand for jungle chase sequences. The soundtrack features Devi Sri Prasad, known for Pushpa‘s chartbusters, ensuring musical hype.
Trade analysts predict Raaka will challenge Pushpa 2‘s box office dominance. “Allu Arjun plays a forest guardian fighting corporate greed—a fresh mass entertainer with social message,” noted film journalist Sreedhar Pillai.
Social media exploded post-launch. “Allu Arjun’s Raaka look gives Thalaivii Goosebumps! Wildest avatar ever,” tweeted a fan, while #RaakaFirstLook trended No. 1 India-wide within hours.
Rashmika Mandanna, his Pushpa co-star, reacted: “Roaaar! Bunny’s unleashed something savage.” Producers confirmed a 2027 Sankranti release across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
